National and University Library of Slovenia

The National and University Library of Slovenia (NUK) is responsible for assigning and maintaining URN:NBN persistent identifiers within the Slovenian national domain. NUK contributes to the development of shared standards and best practices in digital preservation, bibliographic description, and persistent identification of digital heritage.

The Slovenian URN:NBN service has been operational since 2012 and integrates with national repositories, digital libraries, and institutional archives. NUK also maintains the URN:NBN resolver for Slovenia.
